Dr. Epstein
Veterinarian/Practice Owner
Dr. Cassie Epstein was born in Dallas, Texas and has lived in Denton since coming to UNT for her biology degree. While working on her undergrad degree she worked as a receptionist and veterinary assistant for the clinic’s previous owner, Dr. Granville Wright. After graduating Texas A&M in 2007 with her DVM, Dr. Epstein returned to Denton and pursued relief work for a few years before rejoining Animal Hospital on Teasley Lane as an associate veterinarian. She bought the clinic in 2012.
Dr. Epstein loves surgery, behavioral medicine, and internal medicine cases. She works with and is on the board of Denton Animal Services and Lake Dallas Animal Services as well as with many rescue groups. In a world where vet medicine is becoming increasingly corporatized, she aims to keep her clinic privately owned, navigating a rapidly changing professional landscape.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Epstein is a mom to a really cool kid and has a whole bunch of dogs, cats, and chickens. Most days you’re likely see to one of her dogs in the front office helping with reception. Dr. Epstein also makes and collects eclectic art and writes poetry and short fiction.
